My Hatha yoga classes are rooted in the concept of stability before mobility with a focus on functional alignment. Each person brings a unique expression to a yoga pose. Moving into the shape of a posture that is not right for your body can be counter productive to why you practice yoga in the first place. Creating postures from the inside out will assure you are nurturing a grounded root system for a healthy posture expression.

A yoga class is a wonderful way to spend time with your body, to learn about it and listen to it. The structure of my class has minimal flow but works through postural endurance. The challenge and stillness of holding a posture will help you develop a greater awareness of self and will help you on your journey to health.

Practicing in small groups allows you to be in a class setting while gaining the benefits of private yoga sessions. Practicing with others in a small group allows you to learn from each other, as each individual brings something unique to the class. Small session yoga is a four-person, 60-minute weekly class over four consecutive weeks. You can register as a group or as an individual. Some four-week sessions have a focus to allow the group to immerse themselves into a specific area of practice. Other sessions are freestyle, allowing a more organic flow to the class considering the objectives of its participants. 

If you are just beginning your yoga journey, small session yoga provides you a safe place to start. Clear direction and individual attention assures you are set-up with the best foundation possible. A four-week class commitment helps you develop a routine for your potential yoga practice.

If you are looking to deepen your current practice or work through a new approach to your practice, the material presented over four consecutive weeks will help your mind and body remember the details. You will move beyond your typical path for creating postures and experience a new manner of motion that will help you grow mentally and physically.

Your journey to good health should be intentional and deep. Set aside time for private yoga sessions. Working one-on-one, we’ll find the best ways to fine-tune and deepen your yoga practice. A private yoga session will allow you to work comfortably through injuries, limitations and reservations. It also gives me the opportunity to offer you my personal attention, assistance, props to help with various postures and modifications that would be beneficial for your practice. The personal attention allows you the opportunity to ask questions as you move through your postures.

Remember that your posture and how you hold each pose makes all the difference in developing spine support. As a chiropractor and certified yoga trainer, I recommend working individually with an expert to assure you are not moving through compensational patterns and creating poor habits in movement and holding postures that can lead to injury.

In a private yoga session I can build a class that is therapeutic in nature and tailored to your needs, as well as, make recommendations for other classes, workouts or care that will help you feel confident and attain your goals.

The goal of the chiropractic care I practice is to improve the relationship between your body’s structure and its function.  The care I provide will help alleviate your body of any restrictions and pain so you can be as healthy as possible.

In our office, treatments consist of a combination of manual chiropractic manipulation, soft tissue manipulation, stretching, heat and ultrasound. You will benefit from the right combination of treatment modalities for your unique mind and body condition.
